Big Bang! 03:07
It started with a Big Bang It started with a Big Bang And just like that Subatomic particles everywhere you went They smashed together to form into atoms Which smashed together again to make stars The stars grew and grew even bigger They grew bigger and bigger and unstable So they grew and grew even bigger They grew bigger and bigger And so there was a big bang A Supernova supernova All across the sky Bang Supernova supernova Super explosion of light the heat of the star explosion formed atoms like the iron inside your blood and the gold that hangs on your necklace and the calcium inside your bones So all life living on the planet Has atoms that were born inside a star We’re all sisters and brothers of the cosmos We’re all a part of one heart That’s a big bang A super nova super nova all across the sky bang super nova super nova blowing up your mind Everybody do the smash and boom

The sun is 4 and a half billion years old Like your grandma’s grandma’s grandma or so I’m told It’s gigantic, bigger than our planet by a million times So put on your sunglasses it’s about to get bright The atmosphere is composed of three layers: the photosphere, the chromosphere and the corona And I’m telling you, son, these three layers are hot It’s like a 15 million degree cup of hot chocolate The sun is the star That keeps us warm It’s so essential to life It keeps us alive Its ¾ hydrogen and the rest is helium And it’s not unique in fact it’s one in a trillion Which means there must be other stars out in the sky That could sustain alien life and warm apple pie Without solar winds there would be no weather It’s more than 1,000,000 km in diameter It takes a quarter trillion years for a galaxy orbit This yellow dwarf star is real legit The sun is the star That keeps us warm It’s so essential to life It keeps us alive

Revolution! 03:29
The planets! They are locked in a neverending game of Ring around the rosy! It's called Revolution and it's happening right now Oh the moon up above Revolves around us Revolves around us Like Earth beneath our feet Around the sun Around the sun The sun around the milky way All the way All the way Back to where we started Back to where we started one - revolution around the sun around the sun three - hundred sixty five days around the sun around the sun from the day I turned eight to the day I turned nine the earth revolved around the sun one time from the day I turned eight to the day I turned nine the earth revolved around the sun one time (PAUSE) Oh the moon up above Revolves around us Revolves around us Like Earth beneath our feet Around the sun Around the sun The sun around the milky way All the way All the way Back to where we started Back to where we started one - revolution around the sun around the sun three - hundred sixty five days around the sun around the sun from the month of September to the month of October the moon revolved around the earth one time from the month of September to the month of October the moon revolved around the earth one time

There was a great big ball of lava orbiting the sun It had a core of nickel and iron Isn’t that so fun? After 100 million years The lava formed into a crust And the water stuck inside it Came out of volcanoes! There is a crust, a mantle, an outer core And an inner core But you already knew that So I don’t want to be a bore! Earth This is how it formed it is the, (x4) We used to believe it was the center of the universe till 1543 when that was disproven Copernicus Through photosynthesis Our atmosphere was changed The air was turned to oxygen, carbon, argon and mostly nitrogen 70 percent of the surface is covered in oceans some suspect life developed there through abiogenesis and apiopoiesis Earth! This is how it formed it is the, (x4)

1961 john f kennedy made a speech said he believed that we would be the first country to land upon the moon he wondered in his room what would I do if I were on the moon what would I do if I were on the moon buzz aldrin, neil armstrong, and Michael collins too were the first three astronauts to land upon the moon buzz aldrin, neil armstrong, and Michael collins too were the first three astronauts to land upon the moon did they jump, jump, jump, jump did they dance, dance, dance, dance collect rocks and data rocks and data go camping on the lunar module 1969 one giant leap for all mankind apollo 11 a crew of 3 landed at the sea of tranquility they stepped outside in their space suits jumped around in their space boots what would you do if you were on the moon what would you do if you were on the moon would you jump, jump, jump, jump would you dance, dance, dance, dance collect rocks and data rocks and data go camping on the lunar module

Our planet alpha centauri b’s exhausted all its worth So I believe it’s time we leave to conquer planet earth it’s perfect for the taking in the goldie locks zone there’s air and running water I think we’ve found a home Right after venus and It’s right before mars The third planet from the sun Will some day soon be ours Earth- I think we’ve found a home Earth- we’re making you our own Liquid water carbon life Spins upon its axis line Earth- I think we’ve found a home Our oceans are filled with garbage Our air is filled with smog Our cities are all crowded We’re running out of logs We hope the earth is ready We’re peaceful as can be We want to bring our flying cars And cool technologies But if the earth is just as bad We’ll have to turn around We’ll never last four seasons We’ll never touch the ground Earth – we thought we’d found our home Earth – we thought you’d be our own No resources warring states Unstable tectonic plates Earth – we thought we’d found our home If you want to save the earth There’s so much you can do Reduce, reuse, recycle And use less fossil fuels Taking shorter showers Riding on your bike Studying earth science You’re fighting for what’s right

Astronauts! 03:27
If you want to be an astronaut This is the place to start Sing I want to be an astronaut Sing I want to be an astronaut You’ve got to study hard and exercise Take care of your body Take care of your mind You’ve got to be a strong swimmer Be good with computers If you want to go to space what you’ve really got to do is Love to learn You could be a commander who leads the mission A pilot who drives the craft A flight engineer, payload commander, a mission specialist, a science pilot astronauts are awesome! If you want to be a scientist or an engineer oh Sing I want to be a scientist Sing I want to be an engineer You could study medicine like Mae Jemison Make a robot arm like Sally Ride You could fly for the Airforce like Guion Bluford If you want to go to space what you’ve really got to do is Love to learn Now I want you all to touch your hands above your head like the cone of a rocket And in t-minus 3 seconds we’re going to blast off. Never stop being curious, asking questions, and seeking out answers

Black Hole! 03:27
You might be flying around in your space ship Flying through the center of the Milky Way When your computer says “look out pilot, you can’t see it but theres something massive in your way” it was a star many years ago that got so big that it collapsed inside itself So we’ll have to go around it Or else we might get swallowed up by We might get swallowed by a Black hole Where no one knows What’s inside it Or where it goes Black hole Where we don’t know Cause even light Can’t escape it’s pull Black hole Where no one knows What’s inside it Or where it goes Black hole Where we don’t know It might just lead to another world Might be a smaller primordial black hole That we think was created by the big bang It might be supermassive at the galaxy core The sun’s size with the mass of four million suns more And so when two black holes collide in place It sends a ripple in space called a gravity wave That was predicted by Einstein in 1916 and was proven real in 2016 Black hole Where no one knows What’s inside it Or where it goes Black hole Where we don’t know Cause even light Can’t escape it’s pull Black hole Where no one knows What’s inside it Or where it goes Black hole Where we don’t know It might just lead to another world The most important part of science Is knowing when you don’t know You might just be the scientist To find the secrets of the black hole

the sun is at the center of the solar system its gravity is greater than the rest and mercury is next it is the shortest distance no atmosphere and craters dot the surface venus has no moons it is a lonely planet a hundred thousand volcanoes to boot Earth is number three in fact it’s where you’re standing The only one with life like me and you Eight planets and Pluto Then the sun it’s the star in the middle asteroids and comets meteors, gas giants Dwarf planets the oort cloud Satellites and gas clouds Mars is the red planet because of iron Ice capped poles but it’s completely it’s dry there Then there’s Jupiter the gas giant The biggest planet with a storm like an eye and Saturn has rings like a planet king The second largest planet of the sun And Uranus is blue it has twenty seven moons and Neptune is the farthest from the sun Eight planets and Pluto Then the sun it’s the star in the middle asteroids and comets meteors, gas giants Dwarf planets the oort cloud Satellites and gas clouds

Carl Sagan! 03:34
Before there was TV Before we had the app Musically People sat around a campfire And looked up at the stars They saw the Big Dipper And the phases of the moon When the sun comes up every day See the world differently Carl Carl Sagan he took us on a personal voyage A personal voyage through the cosmos Carl Sagan says The Anasazi Indians Developed round structures Which they used as calendars In ancient Alexandria The buildings had different shadow sizes The Earth must be round They found with basic math devices Carl Carl Sagan He taught us About being human In ancient Alexandria They had millions of books on scrolls The greatest intellectuals Developed what everyone now knows Even though Ptolemy was wrong About an Earth-centered universe It was the highest academic achievement Because he came up with it first Carl Sagan says You can be intellectually renown It is no guarantee Your ideas will be sound The truth is still out there Waiting to be found If you use your imagination You just need to look around.
12.
Scientists! 02:17
Carl Sagan wasn’t playing He knew astrophysics Steven hawking wrote Some books about the stars Neil degrasse Tyson Man I really like him Cause he talks with his head And his heart Isaac Newton was the Dude Who wrote the laws of motion Marie curie discovered radium Albert Einstein helped us define time Copernicus discovered first We orbit the sun Clap your hands for the scientists (claps) Clap them again just to show them we care (claps) Galileo made discoveries with his telescope Thomas Edison invented so much Nikola tesla he was the best uh His inventions changed the world as we know now we can’t forget to thank our science fiction writers like Asimov and Arthur c Clarke mary shelly, Vonnegut, HG Wells and Bradbury Inspired us all with their art
